Mini Battery-Powered Vibrocorer

A miniaturised, battery-powered vibrocorer for collecting 2m-long sediment samples from water depths of up to 50 metres. Designed for sampling dense or compacted sediment – for biological, chemical, environmental and geochemical applications – in situations with limited handling capabilities.

This battery-powered vibrocorer is easy to deploy from smaller boats, making it ideal for use in inshore waters, shallow seas, and locations with difficult access necessitating smaller vessels and fewer crew. The rechargeable gel-cell battery can run the vibrocorer continuously for around 4 hours. It can also be powered by a 24VDC 12A vessel supply.
