Trainee Field Engineer
About Amaan
As one of our Trainee Field Engineers, Amaan is involved in the testing, packing, and mobilisation of seismic equipment for all of our projects. Whether supporting preparations onshore or gaining experience offshore, he is building a strong foundation in the role – combining technical understanding with a hands-on approach.
Amaan holds a BEng from UEA in Norwich and brings valuable industry experience, having previously worked with GeoTechnical Solutions. During this time, he supported numerous offshore projects for our clients across Europe and North Africa. This helped him to grow into a Lead Geotechnical Engineer responsible for data processing for CPTs and Vibrocorers.
Keen to move into a more practical, equipment-focused role, Amaan joined EEL to get closer to operations and develop his skills in the field. Outside of work, he’s a big football fan, enjoys travelling to new places, and even made the 2020 GB Olympic karate team. When he’s at home, most of his attention is reserved for his cat, who he’ll admit runs the show.
