About Paul
As our Managing Director, Paul brings over 30 years of experience across the offshore, survey, and geotechnical sectors. His career began in the civil service before retraining in civil engineering and moving into offshore hydrographic surveying. His work has taken him from remote river deltas in Tanzania to leadership roles in some of the UK’s most respected marine and geotechnical companies.
Paul originally joined EEL in 2012 as Commercial Manager and returned in 2025 to lead the business through its next phase of growth. Prior to rejoining, he headed up the geotechnical commercial team at Gardline, where he oversaw a period of significant expansion — trebling the company’s drill fleet and revenues while embedding strong risk management practices.
Paul is passionate about building efficient, sustainable businesses that contribute to the global energy transition. His focus is on delivering clarity, growth, and real value to clients, with transparency at the heart of EEL’s commercial approach.
In his free time, Paul enjoys cycling, walking his two Whippets, and exploring local towns and coffee shops with his wife.
