Apprentice Geotechnical Technician
About Spike
As our Apprentice Geotechnical Technician, Spike is developing his engineering skills across a wide range of our equipment. Based in our Beccles facilities, he services, maintains, and prepares our equipment, while also supporting mobilisations and offshore projects whenever the opportunity arises.
Spike has already gained valuable offshore experience, travelling to Norway and assisting in the operation of one of our CPT systems alongside a piston corer, giving him first-hand experience of geotechnical data acquisition.
He has also played an active role in the design and build of our latest Compact Constant Tension Winches, putting his engineering skills into practice.
Currently completing his Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship, Spike is keen to continue expanding his knowledge across our wider range of equipment – especially our seismic systems.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find Spike in the gym or playing the drums or guitar.
